[Anonymous asked: Even if Laci apologizes, even if she sends roses and a 2500 word essay about why she is wrong to all the people she hurt, her sex+ stuff is still inherently flawed. Still hetero and cis centric, still racist, still phobic of anything that doesn’t fit into the American Dream. She’ll never apologize in a mature and conductive manner—we have to be realistic here—but even if she did, I’d still avoid her youtube videos. They’re not made for me: the fat, trans* masculine guy who doesn’t want to transition any time soon. They’re not made for my partner, a beautiful woman of color, and they’re not made for my friends. She could have been great. We gave her the benefit of the doubt, tried to teach her, so she could teach those who really aren’t involved in the lgbtqa+ scene at all. Instead of taking what we had to say and applying it, she sneered and laughed at us. She mocked us. She continued saying racist, bigoted things. So, no. Laci Green’s most sincere apology won’t make her relevant to my life. It’ll just make her a better person, just a tiny bit. (Sorry…I just. I saw that ask and started seething with rage and I needed to respond. I know you’re as sick of the Laci Green debate as I am, I think everyone is, but god damn it. Why don’t people GET IT?)]
Would have submitted this to the blog but I don’t find a submit option anywhere.
But I wanted this to be rebloggable, because it is perf.
