Owl Bookmark With Tassel - Knitting Pattern (also available as a PDF on my links to the right)


Cast on 3 stitches and knit I-cord for as long as you want (I made it about 4.5 inches long).
*Kfb. Repeat from * to end of row (6 sts)

Knit 1, purl 2, knit 2, purl 2, knit 1

C4B, C4F
Bind off knit-wise.

Then, make a tassel (tassel tutorial here) and attach it to the end of the I-cord (you don’t want the tassel to be too big/thick - it’ll look weird).
If you want, use the tail from your binding off to sew a little emphasis into the owl’s brows/tufts.


The owl may need blocking before you sew on two buttons for eyes. I like using slightly over-sized buttons for these wee owls, I think they look cuter that way.
